PHILADELPHIA: Andy Reid had never lost coming off the bye but fell for the first time in 13 seasons when the Falcons beat the Eagles 30-17 last Sunday in Philadelphia. Michael Vick didn’t turn the ball over but he threw for less than 200 yards (191) and one touchdown. LeSean McCoy rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown while DeSean Jackson was held to five catches for 59 yards and Jeremy Maclin caught just six passes for 33 yards. The loss dropped Philadelphia to 3-4 overall and 1-5-1 against the spread. The Eagles have failed to cover the spread in each of their last two games, including last Sunday as a 3-point favorite versus Atlanta.

NEW ORLEANS: The Saints were embarrassed 34-14 in Denver last Sunday night. Drew Brees completed 22-of-42 passes for 213 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, while the New Orleans defense allowed Peyton Manning to throw for 305 yards and three touchdowns. The Saints also surrendered 122 yards on the ground to Willis McGahee, while Demaryius Thomas caught seven passes for 137 yards and one touchdown. The loss dropped the Saints’ record to 2-5 overall and 3-4 against the spread, as they failed to cover the spread for the first time in the past four weeks.

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Saints as 3-point favorites versus the Eagles, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 52.5 points. Philadelphia is 3-4 overall and 1-2 on the road, while New Orleans is 2-5 overall and 1-2 at home.

TRENDS: The over is 5-0 in the last five meetings overall while the Eagles are 4-1 against the spread in their last five meetings in New Orleans and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games versus the Saints. The underdog is 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings between these two teams and the road squad is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.
