MIAMI: The Dolphins have been one of the better surprises of the 2012 NFL season. They ran their record to 4-3 overall and 4-3 against the spread with a 30-9 victory over the Jets last Sunday in New York. Matt Moore threw for 131 yards and a touchdown on 11-of-19 passes while replacing the injured Ryan Tannehill, who hyperextended his knee in the first half. Reggie Bush also rushed for 59 yards on 14 carries while Brian Hartline and Davone Bess combined to catch 8 passes for 69 yards.

INDIANAPOLIS: Speaking of nice surprises, the Colts have played better than expected seeing as how they owned the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft. Rookie Andrew Luck has been fantastic, throwing for 1,971 yards and eight touchdowns through seven games. He threw for 297 yards with one touchdown and one interception on 26-of-38 passing in a 19-13 overtime win over the Titans last Sunday in Tennessee. The victory ran Indy’s record to 4-3 overall and 4-3 against the spread as the team has now covered in three of its last four games.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Dolphins are 1-point road favorites over the Colts while the over/under total is currently sitting at 43 points. Miami is 4-3 overall and 2-2 on the road this season, while Indianapolis is 4-3 overall and 3-1 at home.

TRENDS: The Dolphins are 6-0 against the spread in their last six trips to Indianapolis and the road team is 4-0 against the number in the last four meetings. That said, the underdog is 7-2 against the spread in the last nine meetings between these two teams and the over is 5-1 in the last six meetings.
