Las Vegas Raiders DFS Spin
Raiders WR Bryan Edwards (foot, ankle) is questionable for Week 8 against the Browns. Edwards opened Las Vegas’ first three games as the starter opposite Henry Ruggs but provided little impact with 5/99 on six targets. Nelson Agholor has recorded a 16.6% target share on 79% of the team’s snaps the past two games with Edwards sidelined. Edwards is not expected to be relevant in re-draft leagues behind Agholor even when the rookie returns.
Cleveland Browns DFS Spin
Browns TE Austin Hooper (abdomen) is out for Week 8 against the Raiders. After an appendectomy last week, Hooper didn’t have much chance to playing this week. Hooper’s Week 7 absence led to five targets for rookie Harrison Bryant — who got the start — and three targets for David Njoku. Bryant scored two touchdowns while Njoku had one score against the Bengals. Bryant ran 17 pass routes to Njoku’s 12. With Hooper out, Bryant profiles as the better fantasy option, if just barely.
Raiders vs. Browns Betting Prediction
The Raiders are just 3-7 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between these two teams while the favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in this series. The Raiders are also just 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 conference games, are 2-5 against the number in their last seven games coming off an ATS loss and are 1-4 at the betting window in their last five games coming off a double-digit home loss. The Browns, meanwhile, are 5-1-1 against the spread in their last seven games as a home favorite, are 5-2-1 against the number in their last eight home games and have cashed in seven of their last 10 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous contest.
