Bears vs. Titans Week 9 Odds
The Bears have now won five in a row after losing 23-10 to the Packers in Week 2. Their latest victory came last Sunday when they edged out the Panthers 23-22 on a last second Robbie Gould field goal. The Bears are now 6-1 on the season and posses sole advantage of first place in the NFC North. That said, they’re now 4-3 against the spread after failing to cover the past two weeks, including last Sunday when they were an 8.5-point home favorite versus Carolina. Jay Cutler leads the team with 1,545 passing yards and Brandon Marshall has team highs in both receiving yards (675) and touchdowns (4).
After winning back-to-back games against the Steelers and Bills, respectively, the Titans thought they were on track following a 1-4 start. But they lost to the Colts 19-13 in overtime last week to drop their record to 3-5 on the season. They also failed to cover as a 3.5-point home favorite and are now 3-5 against the spread as well. Chris Johnson leads the team with 595 yards rushing while Jamie Harper has a team-high three touchdowns. Tennessee is currently in third place in the AFC South behind Houston (6-1) and Indianapolis (4-3)
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bears are 3.5-point road favorites versus the Titans, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 43.5 points. Chicago is 6-1 overall and 2-1 on the road this year, while Tennessee is 3-5 and 2-2 at home.
TRENDS: The road team is 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams while the Bears are 6-1-1 against the number in their last eight games in November. The Titans, meanwhile, are 3-8-1 against the spread in their last 12 games overall and 0-4-1 ATS versus a team with a winning record.
