Steelers vs. Saints Pick
One week after losing to the lowly Browns at home, the New Orleans Saints will try to rebound when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football. Read on to check out our free pick for tonight’s game.
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the Saints a 1-point favorite over the Steelers in Week 8. The over/under total for this game is currently 44 points.
Let’s get to our free pick.
The Steelers enter Sunday’s game an impressive 5-1 and have covered in four of their first six games. They’re also 3-0 on the road this year and have covered in two of those three outings.
The Saints, meanwhile, are still holding on to a winning record at 4-3 but they’ve failed to cover in five of their first seven games. They’re 2-2 at home this season, but are just 1-3 against the number at the Superdome, which includes an outright loss to the Browns last Sunday.
Our Sunday Night Football Pick:
The Saints thought that Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas may have been back form their injuries by now, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. That means Drew Brees may struggle mightily against the Steelers’ aggressive front seven and New Orleans may lose its second game in a row. The Saints are just 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games in Week 8. The Steelers, on the other hand, are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games versus a team with a winning home record. While they were fortunate that things didn’t turn out badly for them last week in Miami, the Steelers are arguably the best team in the NFL and they may roll against a struggling New Orleans team this Sunday night. Our pick is the underdog Steelers.
