NFL Week 8 Free Picks

nfl week 9 free picks predictions odds trends

(The Spread) – Which NFL teams made our list for our top 4 free picks for Week 8? Read on to find out.

Week 7 Recap: The Buccaneers were our only loser last Sunday, as they failed to mount a late comeback against the Bears. But thanks to the Broncos, Steelers and Chiefs all covering, we finished the week with a 3-1 record. That runs our season total to 15-12-1 against the spread.

New Orleans Saints vs. St. Louis Rams, 1:00PM ET

After the Saints scored 63 points on the Colts last week, there will be plenty of bettors hopping on the over when New Orleans travals to St. Louis on Sunday to take on the Rams (who have given up the second-most points this season behind the Colts). But the Saints generally play things more close to the vest when they're on the road and usually when a team scores a ton of points one week, they have a tendency to not look as sharp in their next game. And even if Drew Brees and Co. are back on their game, will A.J. Feeley and the Rams score enough points to help cover the over? The under is 6-0 in Rams last 6 games in October and 3-0-1 in their last four vs. NFC.

Miami Dolphins vs. New York Giants, 1:00PM ET

Miami is an absolute disaster. Not only can they win on the field but they’re bickering off it, as safety Yeremiah Bell recently said that Reggie Bush “stinks” in reference to comments the running back made about the Dolphins last week. (Bush said that the Dolphins “stink,” which sparked Bell’s remarks. The whole thing is childish, really.) Tony Sparano is barely holding on to his job, yet alone the locker room. The Giants have known to underachieve throughout the years but they should be fresh coming off their bye and easily dispose of the hapless Fins.

Detroit Lions vs. Denver Broncos, 4:05PM ET

Matthew Stafford may look strong in practice but the health of their quarterback isn’t the only thing that should concern Detroit these days. They don’t have a running game, they can’t stop the run and now they have to travel cross-country following two straight losses. Denver might not own the better team but the Broncos have new life under Tim Tebow and there’s always value in the home dog.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Seattle Seahawks, 4:15PM ET

The Seahawks have issues at quarterback but their defense hasn’t played poorly this season and they’re at home, where they’re always dangerous. Andy Dalton has played better than expected thus far but Seattle offers a tough environment for any quarterback, nevertheless a rookie. According to latest NFL trends, the Seahawks are 4-0 against the spread in their last four home games and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games overall. The Bengals, meanwhile, are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games as a road favorite and 0-6 ATS in their last six games in Week 8.
