NFL Week 8 Injury Report
Week 8 of the NFL season is about to get into full swing this afternoon. Here’s a closer look at the Injury Report for today’s contests.
Broncos without key starts vs. Chiefs
The Denver Broncos are without Royce Freeman at running back today and could be without Von Miller at linebacker when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs at 1PM ET. According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Chiefs are the clear favorite, as they are getting odds of -10 points against the Broncos in Kansas City. Freeman has rushed for 309 yards and four touchdowns for Denver this this year, but will be out with an ankle injury. Miller is also dealing with an ankle injury. He has 7.5 sacks this year and is a big part of the defensive pass rush. In the case of Freeman, the Broncos still have Philip Lindsay to handle the rushing duties. He has 436 yards on 75 carries.
Jets thin at WR
The New York Jets could be without their leading two receivers today when they go on the road to face the Chicago Bears at 1PM ET. Oddsmakers are listing the Bears as a 9.5-point favorite at home against the Jets. New York receiver Quincy Enunwa is out with an ankle injury while Robby Anderson is doubtful to play with an ankle injury of his own. The two have combined for 39 receptions for 601 yards and four touchdowns in 2018. That will make things difficult for rookie quarterback Sam Darnold.
Packers healing up
Aaron Rodgers may finally get his full compliment of receivers back today when Green Bay goes on the road to face the Los Angeles Rams at 4:25PM ET. Geronimo Allison is expected to return from a hamstring injury following a two-game absence while Randall Cobb is questionable to return today after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury. Reports had growing optimism that Cobb would return today. According to oddsmakers, the Rams are favored by 8 points at home against the Packers. Allison has 19 catches for 289 yards and two touchdowns while Cobb has 17 catches for 194 yards and a score.
