Philadelphia Eagles Fantasy Spin
Carson Wentz completed 16-of-26 passes for 191 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Week 7 against Dallas. Wentz fumbled on an opening drive sack and bobbled a snap that led to a fumble in the second half. He was under pressure all night, taking three sacks. Wentz’s only touchdown was on a throw just outside the red-zone to Dallas Goedert. This was a tough spot for Wentz on the road against a Cowboys secondary that doesn’t allow many touchdowns. He’ll have another difficult matchup against Buffalo in Week 8
Buffalo Bills Fantasy Spin
Devin Singletary played just 22-of-51 snaps (39%) in his Week 7 return from a hamstring injury against the Dolphins. Singletary was seeing his first action since Week 2 and played behind Frank Gore, who was in on 30 snaps and out-touched the rookie 12-7. The problem was the Bills ran a season-low 51 offensive plays, well below their season average of 67.4. It was especially disappointing considering the Dolphins allowed 65.6 plays per game. The Buffalo defense simply couldn’t get off the field Sunday. Gore has played well his first year in Buffalo and has a firm grip on 1A duties to Singletary’s 1B. Singletary should flirt with double-digit touches normally and will be a mere RB3/FLEX for Week 8 against the Eagles.
NFL Betting Trends
Philadelphia
The over is 8-1 in the Eagles’ last nine games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Buffalo
The under is 6-1 in the Bills’ last seven games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Prediction
The under has cashed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams, is 5-1 in the Bills’ last six games overall and has cashed in six of Buffalo’s last seven games coming off a win. On the other side, the under is 4-1 in the Eagles’ last five games played in October, is 5-2 in their last seven road games and has cashed in five of their last seven games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game. The Eagles offensive line was atrocious last week in Dallas and should struggle again on Sunday against an excellent defensive front for Buffalo. Meanwhile, Josh Allen has been fine this season, even excellent in clutch moments, but he’s not going to lead this team to a lot of scores.
NFL Week 8 Prediction: Eagles/Bills UNDER 43.5
