49ers at Texans Pick

The San Francisco 49ers hit the road after their bye this week, as they travel to Reliant Stadium to take on the Houston Texans on Sunday at 1:00PM ET.

Bet NFL Week 7

The Falcons crushed the 49ers in 45-10 in Week 5, as Shaun Hill threw for 198 yards and an interception for San Fran. Glen Coffee rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries as the Niners failed to cover the spread as 3-point favorites.

The Texans earned a big road win last Sunday in Cincinnati, beating the Bengals 28-17 as a 3.5-point underdog. Matt Schaub threw for 392 yards and four touchdowns, while Owen Daniels caught seven passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made the Texans 3-point favorites over the 49ers in Week 7. The over/under total for this game has been set at 44 points.

The Texans have an offense that can compete with anyone. Schaub is playing outstanding, Steve Slaton is starting to pick up his play and Owens and Andre Johnson are almost unstoppable in the passing game.

That said, Houston’s defense has been incredibly inconsistent this season. They seem to struggle every other week, especially against the run. San Francisco doesn’t pose much of a passing threat, but the Niners can run the ball.

We fully expect Mike Singletary’s team to rebound this week after a brutal home effort two weeks ago against the Falcons. It was an out-of-character loss for the 49ers and we expect them to play more focused on the road this Sunday.

Our NFL Week 7 Free Pick for this matchup is: SAN FRANCISCO +3 and UNDER 44.
