DETROIT, MI (The Spread) – The Detroit Lions look to pick up a big win on Sunday when they host the Dallas Cowboys at 1PM ET on FOX.

Detroit is 4-3 on the season, 2-1 at home and 4-3 against the spread. Dallas is 4-3 overall, 1-2 on the road and 6-1 against the spread. Dallas has won five of its last seven against Detroit.

Trends show that the Lions are just 8-18 against the spread in their last 26 conference games while Dallas is 4-0 ATS in its last 4 conference games. These two have hit the over in four straight meetings.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Detroit is the favorite at home, as the Lions have odds of -3 points against the Cowboys. The over/under total for the game has been set at 51 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had the Lions favored by 3 points and the spread hasn’t changed. The over/under total also hasn’t changed since opening at 51 points.

The Lions are coming off a 27-24 loss at home to the Bengals. Detroit was beaten by a field goal as time expired. The Lions are posting 386.4 yards per game on offense, while the defense is allowing just under 400 yards per game. Matthew Stafford has thrown for 2,129 yards and 15 touchdowns this season while Calvin Johnson has 33 receptions for 492 yards and six scores. Reggie Bush has added 731 total yards of offense with three touchdowns.

Dallas is coming off a 17-3 win at Philadelphia last week for its second consecutive win. The Cowboys have been dealing with injuries, but are still finding ways to win. The defense is giving up nearly 400 yards per game, while the offense is posting 352.4 yards per game. Tony Romo has thrown for 2,010 yards and 15 touchdowns to lead the offense while Dez Bryant has added 42 receptions for 569 yards and six touchdowns.

In terms of Injuries, Detroit running backs Montell Owens (knee) and Theo Riddick (concussion) are both questionable. Dallas running back DeMarco Murray (knee) and defensive end Demarcus Ware (quad) are also questionable.
