NFL SuperContest Week 7 Breakdown
Which teams are the top players in this year’s Westgate Las Vegas NFL SuperContest backing for Week 7? Here’s a breakdown to aid you in your handicapping.
At our Westgate NFL SuperContest page, you can see which teams the top players are backing in a given week. You can also see the top 5 teams that are being backed by every player in the entire contest. This week, the Vikings (1,192 picks), the Patriots (966 picks), Chiefs (886 picks), Lions (841 picks), and Ravens (837 picks) are receiving the most backing from SuperContest players.
That said, following a 1-4 record in Week 6, the Top 5 Year to Date Record is just 12-18. Thus, fading those teams might make the most season. According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Vikings are 3-point favorites to beat the Jets, the Patriots are now 2-point favorites to beat the Bears (players in the SuperContest are laying 3 with New England, however), the Chiefs are laying 6 points to the Bengals on Sunday night, the Lions are 2.5-point favorites to beat the Dolphins, and the Ravens are -2.5 at home versus the Saints.
As of this writing, 74% of the public betting tickets are on the Patriots to cover and the Vikings are receiving 69% of betting tickets so those squads are big public teams in Week 7 as well.
What about the SuperContest players that are atop the current leaderboard? Who do they like in Week 7? I compiled a list of the teams that showed up most among the seven top players and here is what I found: The Jaguars, Giants, Ravens and Chiefs were all selected by three different players. Those teams were selected the most by those players atop the standings. The 49ers, Texans, Titans, Bucs, Vikings and Cowboys were all selected by two different players, respectively, while the Rams, Bengals, Saints, Redskins, Browns, Patriots, Colts and Bills were picked by at least one of the top players. Nobody in the top 7 standings took the Lions, Jets, Dolphins, Chargers or Bears.
