Los Angeles Rams Fantasy Spin
Rams CB Jalen Ramsey will play in Week 7 against the Falcons. Ramsey is over his back injury, but there were concerns he wasn’t yet up to speed after getting traded this week. The Rams saw enough from him in practice to make him active for a matchup with Julio Jones and the Falcons. Ramsey’s presence will help improve a Rams secondary that has underperformed though the first six weeks.
Atlanta Falcons Fantasy Spin
Falcons CB Desmond Trufant (toe) is out for Week 7 against the Rams. It will be his second straight absence. For all their recent struggles, the Rams couldn’t be in a better spot Sunday playing indoors against a pitiful Falcons secondary. Between Todd Gurley (who is expected back from a one-game absence), Cooper Kupp, Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods, Los Angeles certainly has the weapons to put a hurt on Atlanta’s turnstile defense. With that in mind, Rams stacks should be all the rage in DFS this week.
NFL Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The road team has covered in four of the last five meetings between these two teams while the favorite is 9-2 at the betting window in the last 11 meetings.
Atlanta
The Falcons are a perfect 4-0 against the number in the last four meetings between these two teams.
Prediction
You couldn’t ask for a better bounceback opportunity for Jared Goff and the Rams. The Falcons are No. 31 with a 39.7 Pro Football Focus coverage grade and while it’s not as if Trufant has been playing well, his absence on Sunday will be a massive determent to Atlanta. The Falcons will start a rookie fourth-round corner in Kendall Sheffield opposite the struggling Isaiah Oliver. Damontae Kazee has also stunk in his role as the team’s slot corner, so Cooper Kupp, Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods should go off on Sunday. There’s some value in taking the home dog but the Falcons stink. I’ll gladly lay the three.
