CHARLOTTE, NC  (ATS Consultants) – Two teams coming off victories will square off in Carolina today when the Panthers host the Rams at 1:00PM ET. Will St. Louis make it three wins in a row?

NFL Odds: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Panthers are 6.5-point favorites over the Rams, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 42 points. St. Louis enters play with a  3-3 overall record and is 1-2 on the road this season, while Carolina is 2-3 overall and 1-1 at home.

Line Movement: The Panthers opened as 4-point favorites but the spread has been bet up to 6.5 at most online and Vegas sports books. As for the total, it opened at 41.5 and has been bet up to 42.

Public Betting: Of the wagers currently placed on this game, 61% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Panthers. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.

NFL Free Pick: Take St. Louis. According to latest NFL trends, the Rams are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games on grass and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win. They're also 7-2 ATS in their last nine road games, 5-2 ATS versus a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games versus a team with a losing home record. The Rams have won their last two games because they've been able to generate a running game thanks to rookie Zac Stacy. Last week they also got key contributions from their defense and special teams, which forced four total turnovers and generated two touchdowns. The Panthers, meanwhile, are coming off an impressive 35-10 win over the Vikings on the road but their offense has been wildly inconsistent this season. This is simply too many points to lay on an average Carolina squad.
