Jets vs. Dolphins Week 6 Prediction
After a tumultuous week that saw the team release star running back Le’Veon Bell, the Jets will travel to South Beach on Sunday when they visit the Dolphins at 4:05 p.m. ET. Can bettors trust that Miami will cover as a 9-point home favorite or is there a better bet on the board?

New York Jets DFS Spin
Jets QB Joe Flacco will start this week against the Dolphins. Jets head coach Adam Gase said Sam Darnold (shoulder) would miss his second straight game. Flacco completed 18-of-33 passes for 195 yards and one score against the Cardinals last week. Miami’s defense profiles as a strong fantasy option against Flacco and the Jets, while Jamison Crowder should continue to see volume in what’s likely to be a pass-heavy game script for New York.
Miami Dolphins DFS Spin
Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 22-of-28 passes for 350 yards and three touchdowns in the Dolphins’ 43-17, Week 5 win over the 49ers. FitzMagic’s Week 5 plan was pretty simple: Find practice squadder/emergency starter Brian Allen and target him every play. Fitz scorched Allen for a number of huge gains, while the rest of the 49ers’ injury-ravaged secondary did not exactly cover itself in glory. Six different Dolphins pass catchers notched at least one 15-yard reception. The Dolphins could have reached 60 points had they not kept settling for so many field goals in a game that wasn’t competitive. Fitz has now had three strong starts and two clunkers through his first five. With the Dolphins intent on letting Tua Tagovailoa develop slowly as he returns from his severe hip injury, Fitzpatrick’s immediate job security is not in doubt. Fitz has another Week 6 Cadillac spot in the all-time bad Jets before a bye and Week 8 date with the Rams.
Jets vs. Dolphins Betting Prediction
The Jets are brutal, failing to cover in their last five games overall and in four of their last five on the road. They’re also winless at the betting window in their last four games played in October, are 0-4 against the number in their last four games as an underdog and are 0-4 ATS in their last four games coming off a failed cover in their previous game. Meanwhile, the Dolphins are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games played in Week 6, are 5-1 against the spread in their last six conference games and have covered in six of their last eight games when playing a team with a losing record.
