GREEN BAY: After a roller coaster five weeks, the Packers’ offense got back on track last Sunday night in Houston when Green Bay blasted the previously unbeaten Texans 42-24. Aaron Rodgers completed 24-of-37 passes for 338 yards and a whopping six touchdowns, three of which went to receiver Jordy Nelson (who also had 9 catches for 121 yards. The win lifted Green Bay’s record to 3-3 and improved the Pack’s ATS record to 2-4. The over, meanwhile, hit for the fourth time in Green Bay’s first six games. Rodgers leads the team with 1,637 passing yards while Nelson has a team-high 410 receiving yards and James Jones leads the Packers in touchdowns with 7.
ST. LOUIS: Despite out gaining Miami and winning the time of possession battle, the Rams couldn’t muster up enough offense in their 17-14 loss to the Dolphins last Sunday. The defeat dropped the Rams’ record to 3-3 on the year as Sam Bradford threw for 315 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. Steven Jackson was held to 52 yards on 12 carries while rookie Daryl Richardson rushed for 76 yards on 11 carries. With Danny Amendola on the shelf with a shoulder injury, Brandon Gibson caught seven passes for 91 yards to lead St. Louis in receiving. Despite the loss the Rams covered the 5.5-point spread and are now 5-1 against the number this season.
