CLEVELAND: The Browns finally picked up their first win of the season last Sunday in a 34-24 victory over the Bengals in Cleveland. Rookie Brandon Weeden threw for 231 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, while fellow first-year player Josh Gordon caught three passes for 99 yards and a touchdown. The win ran Cleveland’s record to 1-5 and 3-2-1 against the spread, while the over hit for the third time in the Browns’ first six games. Weeden has thrown for 1,519 yards this season while Gordon has a team-high 274 yards receiving. Trent Richardson also has five touchdowns.
INDIANAPOLIS: Following their emotional victory over the Packers two weeks ago, the Colts were crushed by the Jets 35-9 in New York last Sunday. Andrew Luck threw for 280 yards and was intercepted twice, while running back Vick Ballard was held to just 25 yards on 8 carries. The loss dropped Indy’s record to 2-3 and after failing to cover the 3.5-point spread, the Colts are now 2-3 against the number this season. Luck leads the team with 1,488 passing yards while Reggie Wayne has a team-high 593 yards receiving. Defensively, Robert Mathis leads the Colts with five sacks.
