Rams at Jaguars Pick

The St. Louis Rams will be in search of their first victory of the year when they head to Jacksonville Municipal Stadium on Sunday to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Bet NFL Future Odds

The Rams turned in yet another pathetic performance last week in a 38-10 loss to the Vikings. Kyle Boller threw for 209 yards and an interception before being replaced by Marc Bulger, and Steven Jackson rushed for 84 yards on 21 carries. St. Louis failed to cover as 10.5-point underdogs.

The Jaguars were absolutely drubbed in Seattle last Sunday, 41-0 as 2-point underdogs. David Garrard threw for 188 yards while Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 35 yards on 12 carries.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Jaguars 10-point home favorites over the Rams on Sunday. The over/under total for this game has been set at 43 points.

Here’s hoping that Jones-Drew’s comments earlier this week light a fire under Jacksonville. After his team was shelled in Seattle, Jones-Drew criticized everything from the play-calling to his role as a decoy in the Jaguars’ offense.

While it’s hard to endorse an inconsistent Jacksonville team, St. Louis is just flat out brutal. Bulger may be back under center, but that’s not necessarily a good thing for the Rams seeing as how his decision-making gets worse every game.

The Jaguars defense has plenty of issues, but they should be able to stop a bad Rams offense this Sunday. We like the Jaguars in a blow out, although we don’t think the total will go over.

Our NFL Week 6 Free Pick for this matchup is: JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS –10.5 and UNDER 43.
