Raiders vs. 49ers Free Pick
The 49ers are looking to avoid a 0-6 start when they host the Raiders at 4:05PM ET on Sunday. Read on to check out our pick for this Week 6 contest.
Before we get to our pick, let’s check out the latest odds for this game.
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the 49ers 7-point favorites over the Raiders in Week 6. The over/under total for this game is currently 41.5 points.
Oakland is 2-3 straight up and has an identical record against the spread this year. They’re 0-2 on the road, but they covered at Arizona two weeks ago and would have won outright had Sebastian Janikowski not missed a 32-yard field goal as time expired.
The 49ers are a dismal 0-5 overall and are close to benching quarterback Alex Smith. Mike Singletary may be looking for work soon if his team doesn’t turn things around quickly. San Francisco is 2-3 against the spread this year and 1-1 ATS at home.
The Pick:
The Raiders don’t have good overall numbers against the Niners, but San Fran shouldn’t be favored by 6.5 points over anyone right now. They’re a poorly coached football team and they seem to lack direction. They’re 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six games as a favorite and 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 games in October. The Raiders aren’t the picture of perfection themselves, but they’ve been more competitive than the 49ers this year and as long as they don’t make mistakes, they should escape San Francisco with at least a cover, if not an outright win.
