NFL Week 6 Free Picks
(The Spread) – Check out our top 4 picks for Week 6 in the NFL.
The Chiefs and Saints covered but the Titans and Giants were blown out in Week 5 to leave us with a 2-2 record last Sunday. That pushes our season record to 10-9-1 as we continue to search for our first 4-0 Sunday in the NFL.
The Falcons have had the Panthers’ number over the last couple of years but this has been a different Atlanta team that has showed up in 2011. Without Julio Jones (hamstring injury), the Falcons’ already inept offense just got a little more inept. Cam Newton has been “Mr. Cover” and with the way he’ll attack Dunta Robinson all day, the Panthers have a chance to win this game outright.
NFL WEEK 6 FREE PICK: CAROLINA PANTHERS +3.5
The Lions are coming off a short week and an emotional win against a divisional rival on Monday night. The 49ers, meanwhile, have arguably played better defensively than any other team in the NFL and are receiving 4 points in what should be a field goal game. Just like the Panthers, the Niners have a good shot of winning this game outright so take the road dog.
NFL WEEK 6 FREE PICK: SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS +4
The Browns have actually played well defensively this year but whom have they played? Their wins have come against the Colts and Dolphins while their losses were against the Bengals and Titans. Even in their defeats they haven’t faced an offense that can score (apologizes to Tennessee but you don’t think “explosion” when it comes to the Titans). Thanks in large part to Darren McFaddden, the Raiders can score quickly and assuming they don’t suffer a letdown following an emotional win last Sunday in Houston, Oakland should roll today.
NFL WEEK 6 FREE PICK: OAKLAND RAIDERS –6.5
The Bucs have beaten up on teams that have been struggling all year, which makes their 45-3 loss to the 49ers last week in San Francisco less surprising. Things don’t get easier for Tampa this Sunday with a powerful New Orleans team coming to town. While the Saints tend to be a little more conservative on the road than they are at home, look for Sean Payton to turn up the heat with this being a big game in the divisional standings. According to latest NFL trends, the Saints are 4-1 against the spread in their last five meetings in Tampa Bay while the road team is 13-3 ATS in the last 16 meetings between these two teams.
NFL WEEK 6 FREE PICK: NEW ORLEANS SAINTS –6
