Philadelphia Eagles Fantasy Spin
Eagles coach Doug Pederson said it’s “trending toward” Jordan Howard getting more carries without Darren Sproles (quad) in the coming weeks. “It’s a good mix with those two guys,” Pederson said on Miles Sanders’ and Howard’s backfield rotation. “Jordan’s the guy you settle down in the run game and give him those touches. And I think Miles is learning from Jordan. Jordan’s becoming the lead back.” Howard scored his fifth touchdown in as many games on Sunday and has out-touched the rookie 31-25 the past two weeks. With Sproles considered week to week, Sanders still has value in 12-team PPR leagues if this backfield’s primarily kept to two runners (as opposed to getting Corey Clement involved). Sanders has also flashed rapport with Carson Wentz from the backfield, seeing at least four targets in three of his past four outings. Howard’s tasked with a tough matchup against Minnesota’s No. 4 rush defense DVOA in Week 6.
Minnesota Vikings Fantasy Spin
Dalvin Cook rushed 21 times for 132 yards and caught 6-of-6 targets for 86 yards in the Vikings’ Week 5 win over the Giants. Cook was a beast all game long. He was constantly beating defenders to the edge on outside runs and wasn’t shying away from contact while running up the middle. As a receiver, Cook had space to pick up chunk gains, but he was somehow kept out of the end zone. That’s the only bad thing to say here. Cook is an elite fantasy RB right now with volume and talent on his side. The Eagles’ defense gets after it against the run, but Cook is firmly inside the top-five at the position regardless of matchup.
NFL Betting Trends

Prediction
This should be one of the better games on the Week 6 schedule and while the matchup is tight, I still give a slight edge to the Vikings. They have the better defense from top and to bottom and while they certainly don’t have the better quarterback, at least Kirk Cousins discovered that he can throw the ball to Adam Thielen last week. While it’s not by a large margin, I like the Vikings better top to bottom and when you throw in homefield advantage, I’ll lay the field goal in what should be a tight, competitive game.
