Redskins vs. Cowboys Odds
Dallas is 2-3 on the season, 2-1 at home and 4-1 against the spread. Washington is 1-3 overall, 1-1 on the road and 1-3 against the spread. Washington has won two straight over Dallas.
Trends show that the Redskins are 13-3 against the spread in their last 16 meetings with Dallas and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 trips to Dallas. The Cowboys have also hit the over in 20 of their last 28 home games.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Dallas is the favorite at home, as the Cowboys have odds of -5.5 points against the Redskins on Sunday night. The over/under total for the game has been set at 52 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had the Cowboys as a 4.5-point favorite. The spread climbed to a peak of 7 points before falling back to Dallas -5.5. The over/under total opened at 53 points before making the slow drop to 52.
Dallas is coming off a 51-48 loss at home to Denver. The Cowboys seemed to have a chance to get the win, but a late interception from Tony Romo setup the game-winning kick for the Broncos. Romo still played a great game, throwing for over 500 yards. The Dallas defense was torched in the loss and is giving up over 400 yards per game. Romo has thrown for 1,523 yards and 13 touchdowns this year while DeMarco Murray has 399 rushing yards with two scores.
Washington is coming off a bye last week, but the Redskins picked up their first win of the season, 24-14 over Oakland, prior to the bye. The defense has struggled this year, allowing 440.6 yards per game. Offensively, Robert Griffin III has gotten off to a slow start. Griffin has thrown for 1,202 yards and six touchdowns with four interceptions and only has 72 rushing yards in four games. The defense is being led by Ryan Kerrigan, who has five sacks.
In terms of Injuries, Washington tight end Fred Davis (ankle) and linebacker Brandon Jenkins (ankle) are both questionable. Dallas linebacker Justin Durant (groin) is questionable while defensive end Edgar Jones (groin) is doubtful.
The Public Bets for this game are currently backing Dallas, as the Cowboys are getting 69% of the wagers with odds of -5.5 points against Washington on Sunday night.
