Patriots vs. Seahawks Week 6 Odds
SEATTLE, WA (The Spread) – A pair of 3-2 teams will square off in Seattle on Sunday when the Seahawks host the Patriots, who are currently favored by oddsmakers.
NEW ENGLAND: The Patriots won back-to-back games for the first time all season when they defeated the Broncos 31-21 as a 5.5-point home favorite last week. They’re now 3-0 against the spread in the last three weeks and 4-1 against the number on the season, with the only non-cover coming against the Cardinals in Week 2. (Arizona won outright as a 13-point road underdog.) Tom Brady has thrown for 1,450 yards, while Stevan Ridley has rushed for 490 yards and owns a team-high four touchdowns. The over has covered in four of New England’s first five games.
SEATTLE: The Seahawks have won three of their last four games, including their 16-12 win over the Panthers in Week 5. The Hawks have covered in three of their first five games, including in three of their last four games. Their two failed covers have come on the road, as they lost 20-16 as a one-point favorite against the Cardinals in Week 1, and lost 19-13 as a 2-point favorite versus St. Louis. The under, meanwhile, is a perfect 5-0 in the Seahawks’ first five games as rookie Russell Wilson (815 yards) has failed to generate much offense. Marshawn Lynch has rushed for 508 yards, while Golden Tate has a team-high three touchdowns.
ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Patriots as 3.5-point home favorites over the Seahawks, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 45 points. New England enters play with a 3-2 overall record and is 2-1 on the road, while Seattle is 3-2 overall and 2-0 at home.
TRENDS: The Seahawks are 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games, 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games in Week 6 and 16-34-2 ATS in their last 52 games in October. On the other side, the Patriots are 35-16-2 against the spread in their last 53 road games and 33-16-2 ATS in their last 51 games in October.
