Browns at Bills Preview

Two struggling teams will square off at Ralph Wilson Stadium when the Buffalo Bills host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Bet NFL Week 5

The Browns fell to 0-4 on the year with a 23-20 overtime loss to the Bengals in Week 4. Derek Anderson threw for 269 yards and a touchdown as Cleveland covered the spread as 6.5-point underdogs.

The Bills dropped to 1-3 with an embarrassing 38-10 loss to the Dolphins in Week 4. Trent Edwards went 14 of 26 for 192 yards and a touchdown, but also threw three interceptions as Buffalo failed to cover the 1-point spread as favorites.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Bills 6-point favorites over the Browns on Sunday. The over/under total for this game has been set at 40.5.

There’s something that just isn’t right about this line. The Browns are coming off a close loss in which they covered, while the Bills were absolutely smoked as a favorite. So why is Buffalo almost a touchdown favorite?

We expect the Bills to play much better in Week 5 and easily cover a Browns team that has a distraction on their hands in the form of Braylon Edwards. Look for Buffalo to get Terrell Owens more involved in the offense and play more disciplined on defense.

The ebb and flow of the NFL suggests that the Browns will struggle a week after looking decent. Don’t be afraid to lay the points in this one – Buffalo covers in a bit of a shootout.

Our NFL Week 5 Free Pick for this matchup is: BUFFALO BILLS –6 and OVER 40.5.
