Chiefs vs. Bucs Week 6 Odds
TAMPA, FL (The Spread) – To struggling teams will meet in Tampa Bay on Sunday when the Buccaneers host the Chiefs at 1:00PM ET.
KANSAS CITY: The Chiefs have lost four of their first five games after some pundits predicted that they would win the AFC West. They’ve also failed to cover the spread in three of their first five games, although they’re coming off a 9-6 loss to the Ravens in which they covered as a 6-point home underdog. Despite having a lackluster offense, the over has covered in three of their first five games, although the combined score went under the posted total of 39.5 last week against Baltimore. Matt Cassel leads the team in passing yards at 1,150, although he could be replaced by Brady Quinn because of his ineffectiveness.
TAMPA BAY: The Buccaneers have been highly competitive so far, but they have a 1-3 record to show for their efforts. After beating the Panthers 16-10 in Week 1, they’ve dropped three-straight games, which includes a 24-22 loss to the Redskins two weeks ago in Tampa. After covering the spread in each of their first three games, the Bucs failed to cover as a 1.5-point favorite versus Washington before their bye. The total has gone over twice and under twice, with the latest game going over. Josh Freeman leads the team with 790 yards passing, while rookie Doug Martin has rushed for 247 yards.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bucs are 3.5-point favorites over the Chiefs, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 40 points. The Chiefs enter this game with a straight up record of 1-4 and are 1-1 on the road this season, while the Bucs are 1-3 overall and 1-1 at home.
TRENDS: The Chiefs are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games in October and 4-1 ATS in their last five games in Week 6. They’re also 1-4 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss. The Bucs, meanwhile, are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a bye week but are 1-5 ATS in their last six games versus a team with a losing record.Twitter and Facebook or Subscribe to Our News Feeds!
