Chiefs vs. Colts Free Pick
The undefeated Chiefs will get arguably their stiffest challenge of the year when they travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts this Sunday. Read on for our pick for this Week 5 matchup.
Before we get to our pick, let’s take a look at the point spread for this game.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Colts 7-point favorites over the Chiefs in Week 5. The over/under total for this game has been set at 45 points.
Despite their loss in Week 4 to the Jaguars, the public is still backing the Colts this week. Of the 13,000-plus wagers for this game, 58% of the betting public favors Indy –7.
The Pick:
Because of their record, the Chiefs are an underrated underdog of sorts. That said, they’re also 2-7 against the spread in their last nine meetings with the Colts. Following Indy’s loss to the Texans in Week 1, they responded by crushing the Giants at home in Week 2. There’s no doubt Peyton Manning and Co. are furious with the way things went down last Sunday in Jacksonville and are looking to take it out on a Kansas City team that still needs to proof its for real.
The Colts are 6-1-1 against the spread versus a team with a winning record over their last eight games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games in Week 5. Look for Indy to bounce back this Sunday; my picks is the Colts.
