New York Giants Fantasy Spin
Saquon Barkley (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in Monday’s practice. The Giants didn’t actually practice, but they were required to submit an estimated practice report. Barkley continues to trend towards a ridiculously quick return. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport even said a Week 6 return is “in view” on Sunday. His presence is needed more than ever with Wayne Gallman (concussion) trending towards missing Thursday night’s matchup against the Patriots. The entire Giants’ offense is in a rough spot against the Patriots’ league-best defense, but Barkley would still be a RB1 thanks solely to his absurd talent and projected workload.
New England Patriots Fantasy Spin
Julian Edelman (chest) was listed as a limited participant in practice Monday. The Patriots didn’t actually practice, but they were required to submit an estimated practice report. Edelman has been dealing with this chest injury for weeks and hasn’t let it interfere with his usual full-time role come Sunday. He’s set up exceptionally well Thursday night against the Giants’ porous secondary. Edelman could even see enhanced target share with Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) potentially sidelined.
