Titans vs. Dolphins Pick
Will the Tennessee Titans or Miami Dolphins find their offensive groove when they meet up this Sunday at 1PM ET?
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Dolphins are the slight favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Titans. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 43.5 points. Miami has won four of the last six against the Titans and the two have hit the over in three of their last four encounters.
The Titans are coming off a 27-20 loss at Houston last week to fall to 1-3 on the season and 2-2 with the over/under total. After a promising look from Marcus Mariota as a rookie, things haven’t gone well in year No. 2. He is leading the offense to just 15.5 points and 358.3 yards per game right now. Mariota has thrown for 925 yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions. He also has been sacked seven times. That may be an issue again this week as first-round pick Jack Conklin is listed as questionable to play with a shoulder injury. That could also impact DeMarco Murray, who has been the offensive leader with 340 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Tennessee is doing pretty well, allowing just 21 points and 359.8 yards per game. That has allowed the Titans to stay in most games. The unit has tallied six sacks and four interceptions this season.
Miami fell to 1-3 on the season last week with a 22-7 loss at Cincinnati. The Dolphins are 2-2 with the over/under total. Like the Titans, the Dolphins are having trouble offensively. They are averaging just 17.8 points and 348 yards per game. The run game has been the biggest issue, posting just 77.8 yards per game on the ground. That could improve if Arian Foster returns from a groin injury, but he is still questionable for this week. Ryan Tannehill has thrown for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns, but also has five interceptions. Unlike the Titans, the Dolphins are struggling on defense, giving up 419 yards per game, including nearly 300 passing yards per game. They are creating pressure, racking up 10 sacks, but giving up yards in chunks.

Miami looked really poor on offense against the Bengals last Thursday and I am not sure that changes much against the Titans, who have a similar defense. However, Tennessee doesn’t seem to have the fire power to overwhelm a questionable Miami defense. The Dolphins should be able to keep the Titans in check at home and keep this as a low-scoring game.
