Titans vs. Vikings NFL Week 5 Odds
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (The Spread) – The surprising 3-1 Vikings will look to win their fourth victory of the year when they host the Titans at 4:25PM ET on Sunday.
TENNESSEE: The Titans fell to 1-3 on the year with a disappointing showing in a 38-14 loss to the Texans in Houston. Tennessee is now 1-3 against the spread as it failed to cover as a 13-point underdog last week. Jake Locker, who won’t play against the Bears on Sunday, has thrown for 781 yards and Nate Washington leads the team with two touchdowns. Chris Johnson failed to get it going on the ground the first three weeks of the season but did have 141 yards on 25 carries last week.
MINNESOTA: The Vikings improved to 3-1 with their 20-13 victory over the Lions in Week 5. They’re now 2-2 against the spread as they covered as a 3.5-point road underdog last week, and the under is now 3-1 after hitting for the third consecutive week. Adrian Peterson leads the team with 332 rushing yards while Christian Ponder has thrown for 332 yards and Kyle Rudolph leads the team with three touchdowns. Defensively, Everson Griffen has three sacks while Josh Robinson has one pick. The Vikings and Bears are currently tied at 3-1 atop the NFC North standings.
ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Vikings as 5.5-point home favorites over the Titans, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 44 points. Tennessee is 1-3 overall and 0-2 on the road, while Minnesota is 3-1 overall and 2-0 at home.
TRENDS: The Titans are 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four road games, 0-3-1 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Vikings are also 1-5 ATS.Twitter and Facebook or Subscribe to Our News Feeds!
