CHICAGO, IL (The Spread) – The Chicago Bears hope to hand the New Orleans Saints their first loss on Sunday when the two meet at 1PM ET on FOX.

New Orleans is 4-0 overall, 1-0 on the road and 3-1 against the spread. Chicago is 3-1 overall, 2-0 at home and 1-2-1 against the spread. The home team has won four straight in this series.

Trends show that the home team is 4-0-2 against the spread in the last 6 meetings in this series. These two have hit the over in 4 of their last 5 against each other and in their last 5 meetings in Chicago.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, this game is even, as neither team has been given a point spread for the contest. The over/under total has been set at 48.5 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had the game as even and hasn’t moved since. The over/under total opened at 47.5 points and slowly made its way up to 48.5 points.

New Orleans is 4-0 on the season thanks to a 38-17 win over Miami at home last Monday. The Saints have seemingly been getting better, winning their last two games by at least 21 points. New Orleans is posting over 400 yards per game on offense and the defense is holding opponents to only 304.6 yards per game. Drew Brees has thrown for 1,434 yards and 10 touchdowns this season while Jimmy Graham has 27 catches for 458 yards and six touchdowns. Cameron Jordan is leading the defense with four sacks.

Chicago was handed its first loss of the season last week, 40-32, by the Detroit Lions. E Bears gave up 387 yards to the Lions, including 159 rushing yards. The Bears had four turnovers in the loss as well. Despite the loss, Chicago is still averaging 352.3 yards per game, but the defense is allowing 384.1 yards per game. Jay Cutler has thrown for 1,010 yards and eight touchdowns while Matt Forte has 320 rushing yards and three scores.

In terms of Injuries, New Orleans running back Mark Ingram (toe) and safety Roman Harper (knee) are both questionable. Chicago cornerback Sherrick McManis (quad) and defensive tackle Stephen Paea (toe) are also questionable.
