TEN-JAC Free Pick

The Tennessee Titans will still be in search of their first win of the 2009 season when they travel to Jacksonville Municipal stadium to take on the Jaguars at 1:00PM ET.

Bet NFL Week 4

The Titans fell to 0-3 on the season after losing to the Jets 24-17 last Sunday as 1-point underdogs. Kerry Collins threw for 170 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in the loss, while LenDale White rushed for 27 yards on seven carries with a TD.

The Jaguars beat the Texans 31-24 to earn their first victory of the year as a 4-point underdog. David Garrard threw for 214 yards with a touchdown run in the win, while Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 119 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Titans 3-point road favorites over the Jaguars on Sunday. The over/under total for this game has been established at 41.5.

The Titans are due – plain and simple. They have had major issues stopping the pass this season, but Garrard and the Jaguars don’t pose a major threat through the air, so Tennessee should be fine as long as it stops Jones Drew.

The key for the Titans is to establish the run early and not make mistakes. They turned the ball over multiple times last week in the loss to the Jets and it cost them. If the Titans can set up the run with Chris Johnson and White, that should open things up for Collins and the passing game.

We like Tennessee to earn its first win of the year and to cover. The total has gone over in nine of Jacksonville’s last 13 games at home, so we recommend taking the over.

Our NFL Week 4 Free Pick for this matchup is: TENNESSEE TITANS –3 and OVER 41.5.
