NYJ-NO Free Pick

Perhaps the best matchup on the Week 4 schedule pits the 3-0 New York Jets against the 3-0 New Orleans Saints at the Superdome on Sunday at 4:05PM ET.

Bet NFL Week 4

The Jets improved to 3-0 win their 24-17 victory over the Titans last week as 1-point favorites. Mark Sanchez threw for 171 yards and two touchdowns, while Jerricho Cotchery caught eight passes for 108 yards and a score in the victory.

The Saints defeated the Bills 27-7 as a 5.5-point favorite to stay undefeated on the season. Pierre Thomas rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries for New Orleans, while Reggie Bush had 64 yards on the ground and 13 carries in the win.

Oddsmakers from online sports book BetOnline have made the Saints 7.5-point favorites over the Jets at the Superdome. The over/under total has been established at 45.5 for this matchup.

This should be a great game, which is exactly why we like the Jets getting 7.5 points. While the Saints’ offense is explosive, Rex Ryan’s defense is too good to allow Drew Brees to pick them apart. We expect the Jets to try to confuse Brees just as they did to Tom Brady in their Week 2 win over the Patriots.

The Jets are a little banged up entering this game, but we like Sanchez to move the ball against New Orleans’ defense and again, we think New York will keep it close. We also think that this game will fall under the total as Ryan’s defense keeps Brees and the Saints’ offense somewhat in check.

Our NFL Week 4 Free Pick for this matchup is: NEW YORK JETS +7.5 and UNDER 45.5.
