Two struggling teams will square off at FedExField on Sunday when the Washington Redskins host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 1:00PM ET.

The Buccaneers fell to 0-3 on the season after losing to the Giants 24-0 as 6.5-point underdogs. Byron Leftwich threw for only 22 yards with an interception, while Cadillac Williams totaled only eight yards on two carries.

The Redskins suffered an embarrassing 19-14 loss to the Lions as a 6-point favorite, as Jason Campbell threw an interception and fumbled twice. He did pass for 340 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Redskins 7.5-point favorites over the Bucs on Sunday. The over/under total has been set at 37 for this matchup.

Due to their lack of offense, Tampa replaced Leftwich with young quarterback Josh Johnson, who is a threat to run but is inexperienced as a passer. That said, it won’t matter who’s under center for the Bucs if their defense can’t slow opposing offenses down.

The Redskins have proven they can move the ball effectively this year, but struggle once they get past mid-field. They can’t put the ball in the end zone once they’ve reached the red zone, which has drawn head coach Jim Zorn plenty of criticism.

Still, the Bucs are bad football team that is starting a quarterback in Johnson that doesn’t have much playing experience. It’s tough to put your money behind a team that just lost to the Lions, but Washington is the better play given Tampa’s brutal defense and lack of scoring ability.

We highly recommend taking the under in this game, as neither team is a threat to score.
