CIN-CLE Free Pick
AFC North rivals clash on Sunday when the Cleveland Browns host the Cincinnati Bengals at 1:00PM ET on Sunday.
The Bengals improved to 2-1 on the year by shocking the Steelers 23-20 last week to cover the 3.5-point spread as underdogs. Carson Palmer threw for 183 yards with a touchdown for Cincinnati, while Cedric Benson rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.
The Browns dropped to 0-3 on the year with a horrible effort in Baltimore. Cleveland lost 34-3 as 13.5-point underdogs as Derek Anderson was intercepted three times and threw for just 92 yards. Jerome Harrison rushed for 52 yards on 16 carries.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made the Bengals 6.5-point road favorites at the Browns. The over/under total has been established at 38 for this matchup.
There’s no other way to say it: The Browns are brutal. Anderson will get the start over Brady Quinn this week and while he has more arm strength and will give Cleveland a shot to throw the ball vertically more, he’s turnover prone.
Cincinnati has been one of the more surprising teams in the league and has played well on both sides of the ball. Since the Browns have no running game, the Bengals will force Anderson to pass to beat them, which should result in an interception or two.
Punt the 6.5-points and take Cincinnati. Cleveland will find a way to lose this game at home and the Bengals have more than enough weapons to beat the Browns by more than a touchdown.
The total has gone under in eight of Cleveland’s last 10 games when playing at home against Cincinnati, so take the under if you like the total.
