Bears vs. Giants Free Picks
The 3-0 Chicago Bears head into East Rutherford this Sunday night to take on a reeling New York Giants team that has lost two in a row. Let’s preview this matchup and make a prediction.
Before we make a pick on Sunday night’s game, let’s take a look at the odds.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Giants 4-point favorites over the Bears in Week 4. The over/under total for this game has been set at 44 points.
With their win over the Packers on Monday night, the Bears improved to 3-0 on the year, yet they find themselves a 4-point underdog for Sunday night in New York. But the Bears prefer the underdog role, so don’t look for them to complain.
The Giants are a mess. Turnovers have killed them this year and despite out gaining the Titans last week, they were crushed 29-10 at home. Eli Manning and company desperately need a win to keep pace in the NFC East, especially with the Eagles starting off 2-1 and showing no signs of slowing down.
Picks & Predictions:
The Bears are 208 against the spread in their last 10 games as an underdog of 3.5-10 points and 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. They’re also 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games as a road underdog, while the Giants are 4-0 against the number in their last four games in Week 4. My pick for this game is the Giants –4. There’s definitely some value in taking a 3-0 team getting points, but the Bears are due for a letdown and the Giants need this win. Chicago is also coming off short rest and a short week of perpetration and have to play in a hostile environment. Jay Cutler and company were fortunate to get a few lucky bounces go there way last week and something tells me the Giants will play a tighter game tonight than they have over the past three weeks.
