49ers vs. Falcons Point Spread
The Atlanta Falcons look to make it three in a row on Sunday when they host the struggling San Francisco 49ers at 1:00PM ET. Let’s take a look at the point spread and preview this matchup.
Game Preview:
The 49ers have lost three in a row to start the season and earlier this week they fired offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye. They hope Mike Johnson will turn their misfortunate around and help provide a spark on that side of the ball. Alex Smith and Co. will have a tough challenge this week against an aggressive Falcons’ defense.
Atlanta got a huge win last Sunday in New Orleans and is now 2-1 on the year. The Falcons would be wise not to take the Niners lightly, especially if Johnson proves to be a better playcaller than Raye was. Still, the Falcons are the superior team and seeing as how they’re playing at home, there’s a reason why they’re a touchdown favorite this week.
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the Falcons 7-point favorites over the 49ers in Week 4. Below is a preview of Sunday’s game.
Line Movement & Updated Odds:
The Falcons opened as 7-point home favorites and the line reached as high as -7.5, but has now settled in a -6.5 The over/under total has gone from 42 to 42.5.
