MIAMI, FL (The Spread) – The Miami Dolphins look to bounce back from their first loss on Sunday when they host the Baltimore Ravens at 1PM ET on CBS.

Miami is 3-1 overall, 1-0 at home and 3-1 against the spread. Baltimore is 2-2 overall, 0-2 on the road and 2-2 against the spread. Baltimore has won its last three meetings with Miami.

Trends show that the Ravens are 0-5 against the spread in their last 5 games in October while Miami is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 home games. These two have hit the under in 7 of their last 10 meetings.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the Dolphins are the slight favorite at home, as they have odds of -2.5 points against the Ravens. The over/under total for the game has been set at 43.5 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had the Dolphins favored by 3.5 points. The spread quickly made the drop to Miami -2.5. The over/under total hasn’t changed since opening at 43.5 points.

Miami lost its first game of the season on Monday night, falling to the Saints, 38-17. New Orleans was able to post 465 total yards on Miami, including 397 passing yards. The Miami defense is now giving up just under 400 yards per game, while the offense is posting 322.3 yards per game. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has thrown for 1,076 yards and five touchdowns while Brian Hartline has caught 21 passes for 272 yards and two scores.

The Ravens fell to 2-2 on the season thanks to a 23-20 loss at Buffalo last week. Baltimore has been inconsistent thus far, especially on defense. The Ravens allowed just 15 total points in their two wins and 72 points in their two losses. On the season, the defense is giving up 345.8 yards per game while the offense is posting just 317.5 yards per game. Joe Flacco has thrown for 1,091 yards and five touchdowns this season, but also has seven interceptions. Torrey Smith has 21 receptions for 435 yards and one touchdown. Terrell Suggs is leading the defense with 31 tackles and four sacks.

In terms of Injuries, Baltimore receiver Jacoby Jones (knee) and running back Bernard Pierce (calf) are both questionable for the game. Miami defensive end Cameron Wake (knee) and cornerback Dimitri Patterson (leg) are both questionable as well.
