Texans vs. Falcons Odds
The Atlanta Falcons look to remain unbeaten on Sunday when they host the Houston Texans at 1PM ET on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Falcons are the favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -6.5 points against the Texas. The over/under total for the contest is currently listed at 47 points. Houston has won and covered the spread in two of its three meetings with the Falcons.
Atlanta is 3-0 on the season, 3-0 against the spread and 2-1 with the under. The Falcons are coming off a 39-28 win at Dallas last week to get to 3-0. The Falcons are now averaging 29.7 points and 421.7 yards per game on offense. Atlanta has some big injuries on offense as receiver Julio Jones and running backs Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman are all questionable for the game. Jones has 34 receptions for 440 yards and four touchdowns this year while Freeman has 184 rushing yards and four scores. Matt Ryan has thrown for 946 yards and five touchdowns to lead the team.
Houston is 1-2 on the season, 1-2 against the spread and 1-1-1 with the over/under total. The Texans got their first win last week, 19-9, over Tampa Bay. The Texans are only putting up 18.7 points per game this season, but the defense is only giving up 20 points and 341.7 yards per game. Houston could get a boost this week as Arian Foster is going to be a game-time decision to make his 2015 debut. He suffered a groin injury in the preseason. Ryan Mallett has thrown for 570 yards and three touchdowns thus far while DeAndre Hopkins has 22 catches for 252 yards and three scores. The defense is led by defending MVP J.J. Watt, who has 19 tackles and three sacks.
