Saints vs. Packers Week 4 Odds
GREEN BAY, WI (The Spread) – Two teams that won Super Bowls in the last four years will square off in Green Bay on Sunday afternoon when the Packers host the Saints at 4:25PM ET.
NEW ORLEANS: The Saints dropped to 0-3 on the season when they blew a fourth-quarter lead last Sunday against the Chiefs. Kansas City rallied for a 27-24 win as New Orleans continues to struggle defensively since hiring Steve Spagnuolo as coordinator. Drew Brees completed 20-of-36 passes for 240 yards with three touchdowns, while Darren Sproles carried the ball seven times for 62 yards and Lance Moore caught four passes for 70 yards and a score.
GREEN BAY: The Packers were victims of one of the biggest frauds in NFL history when the replacement officials awarded the Seahawks a last-second touchdown instead of correctly ruling that Green Bay had intercepted a Russell Wilson pass. The 14-12 loss dropped the Packers to 1-2 on the season as quarterback Aaron Rodgers was sacked eight times. Cedric Benson rushed 17 times for 45 yards and Jermichael Finley caught four passes for 60 yards to lead Green Bay in receiving.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Packers are 9-point favorites over the Saints, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 53 points. The Saints enter this game with a straight up record of 0-3 and are 0-3 against the spread, while the Packers are 1-2 straight up and 1-2 ATS.
TRENDS: The odds are 6-0 in the last six meetings between these two teams, while the favorite is 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams and the home squad is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
