TAMPA, FL (The Spread) – Two teams that have gone backwards since their victories in Week 1 will clash on Sunday when the Bucs host the Redskins at 4:25PM ET.
WASHINGTON: The Redskins got off to a great start to the season when they knocked off the Saints in New Orleans, but since then Robert Griffin III and Co. have struggled. They in their 38-31 loss to the Bengals last Sunday, RGIII completed 21-of-34 passes for 221 yards and one touchdown, but Washington’s defense struggled without defensive linemen Brian Orakpo and Adam Carriker. The Skins allowed Andy Dalton to throw three touchdown passes and were burned repeatedly by second-year receiver A.J. Green (9 catches, 183 yards, 1 touchdown).
TAMPA BAY: The Bucs once again failed to get their offense going in a 16-10 loss to the Cowboys last Sunday. Josh Freeman completed just 10 passes for 110 yards with one touchdown, while Doug Martin rushed for 53 yards on 19 carries and Mike Williams added two catches for 33 yards. Tampa Bay’s defense is much improved but the offense has struggled the past three weeks.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bucs are 1.5-point favorites over the Redskins, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 47 points. The Redskins enter this game with a straight up record of 1-2 and are 1-2 against the spread, while the Bucs are 1-2 straight up and 3-0 ATS.
