The Chiefs are 0-3 on the season and coming off a 20-17 loss to San Diego. The Chiefs continued their offensive struggles with a number of key injuries. The offense amassed just 252 yards in the loss, including just 81 rushing yards from a team that led the NFL in rushing last season. Matt Cassel threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. On defense, Kansas City forced two turnovers, but allowed 375 yards to the Chargers.
The Vikings are coming off a 26-23 overtime loss to Detroit last week. Minnesota has now given up a double-digit lead in the second half of each of its three games this season. The Vikings had a big first half, taking a 20-0 lead, but they had little offense in the second half. Minnesota had five sacks as a defense, but they gave up 378 yards through the air. On offense, Minnesota was led by running back Adrian Peterson, who rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries.
In terms of Injuries, Minnesota receiver Percy Harvin is questionable with an illness while Kansas City receiver Jonathan Baldwin is questionable with a thumb injury and cornerback Brandon Flowers is doubtful with an ankle injury.
