SAN DIEGO, CA (The Spread) – The Dallas Cowboys look to get to 3-1 on the season on Sunday when they host the San Diego Chargers at 4:25PM ET on FOX.

Dallas is 2-1 on the season, 0-1 on the road and 3-0 against the spread. San Diego is 1-2 overall, 0-1 at home and 2-0-1- against the spread. The road team has won four straight in this series.

Trends show that the Cowboys are 0-4 against the spread in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record and 5-14 ATS in its last 19 games following a win. San Diego is 4-0 ATS in its last 4 games following a loss.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Dallas is the slight favorite on the road, as the Cowboys have odds of -1 point against the Chargers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 47 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game were even, but the Cowboys quickly became favored by a peak of 1.5 points before falling back to Dallas -1. The over/under total opened at 45.5 points and hit a peak of 47.5 before falling back to 47.

Dallas is 2-1 on the season following a 31-7 win over the Rams at home last week. The Cowboys were able to establish a solid running game in the win, as DeMarco Murray had 175 yards on the ground. Murray now has 286 yards for the season while quarterback Tony Romo has 771 passing yards with six touchdowns. Defensively, Dallas has been holding opponents to just 66.3 yards per game on the ground.

San Diego is coming off a 20-17 loss at Tennessee last week. The Chargers have had all three of their games decided by 3 points. The big problem for the Chargers is their defense, as they are allowing 470.7 yards per game and rank last in the NFL in passing defense. Offensively, the Chargers are posing 359.7 yards per game. Philip Rivers has thrown for 798 yards and eight touchdowns to lead San Diego while Antonio Gates has 15 receptions for 228 yards and one touchdown.

In terms of Injuries, Dallas linebacker Ernie Sims (groin) and receiver Miles Austin (hamstring) are both questionable for the game. San Diego receiver Malcom Floyd (neck) and guard Jeromey Clary (shoulder) are also questionable.
