Redskins vs. Rams Pick
The St. Louis Rams are looking to pick up their first victory of the season this Sunday when they host the Washington Redskins in Week 3. Here’s our prediction for this weekend’s matchup.
Before handing out our prediction for Sunday’s game, let’s go over the odds.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Rams 3.5-point underdogs against the Redskins in Week 3. The over/under total for this game has been set at 39.
One factor that went into this prediction is how well the Redskins have done recently against the spread. The Skins are 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings in St. Louis, while the road team is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings between these two squads.
The Redskins are also 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games and 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games following a straight up loss. The Rams, meanwhile, are 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a home underdog of 3.5-10 points, are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against the NFC and 0-4 ATS in their last four games while following a ATS win.
The Prediction:
The Redskins suffered a tough loss at the hands of the Texans last weekend at home, a game they easily could have won. The Rams managed to cover against the Raiders, but rookie quarterback Sam Bradford continues to struggle with turnovers (he has four in his first four games) and this will be the best defense he faces by far. My prediction for this game is for the Redskins to cover the 3.5-point spread with a victory of a touchdown or more.
