Bears vs. Cowboys Prediction
Will the Cowboys cover as a nearly a touchdown-sized favorite tonight when they host the Bears on Sunday Night Football at 8:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cowboys are 6.5-point home favorite versus the Bears, while the over/under currently sits at 44.5 points. Both the side and the total moved off the original numbers, as Chicago went from +5.5 up to +6.5 and the total was bet down a half-point after opening at 45.
The Bears are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight road games and are 5-2 against the number in their last seven games in Week 3. That said, they’re 17-35 at the betting window in their last 52 games versus NFC opponents and are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games following a double-digit loss at home. They’re also just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games overall.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, are 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six games overall and are 1-4 ATS in their last five games coming off a win. They’re just 16-34-1 against the spread in their last 51 home games, are 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games versus a team with a losing road record and are winless at 0-6 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win as well.

OUR PREDICTION: Quarterback Jay Cutler is pushing the coaching staff to play in this game but he’s doubtful due to a thumb injury suffered against the Eagles on Monday night. That means Brian Hoyer will draw the start for the Bears, who have looked horrible on offense in their first two games. Alshon Jeffery is also banged up and didn’t practice on Thursday due to a knee injury. If Cutler and Jeffery don’t play, the Cowboys should roll to a victory as the Bears’ defense spends the entire game on the field.
