Ravens vs. Jaguars Prediction
Will the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars push to hit the over when these AFC foes meet up today at 1PM ET?
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Ravens are a slight favorite on the road, as they are getting odds of -1 point against the Jaguars. The over/under total for the game is listed at 47 points. These two have split their last six meetings and they are 4-0-1 with the under in their last five encounters.
Baltimore is off to a 2-0 start following a 25-20 win over Cleveland last week. The Ravens have split the total through two games, just hitting the over last week. The Ravens have been playing really well on defense thus far, allowing just 13.5 points and 290.5 yards per game. Offensively, Baltimore is putting up 19 points and 361.5 yards per game. Despite steady play from Joe Flacco thus far, the Ravens need to show some improvement up front. Flacco has been sacked four times in two games and the rushing attack has just 163 yards on 54 attempts.
The Jaguars fell to 0-2 last week with an embarrassing 38-14 loss at San Diego. The Jaguars have hit the over in both games this season, but it is due more to a struggling defense than a surging offense. Jacksonville is giving up 32.5 points per game right now while the offense is posting 18.5 points per contest. The Jags are hoping the offense improves with Chris Ivory set to make his 2016 debut this week. Right now, Jacksonville is averaging just 58.5 yards per game on the ground. That has put a lot of pressure on Blake Bortles, but he has forced a few too many passes and has three interceptions in two games.

The Browns were able to do some things on offense against the Ravens last week, but then Baltimore shored things up and locked up Cleveland in the second half. If the Jags aren’t able to run the ball with Ivory and T.J. Yeldon, they aren’t likely to score many points. Even though Jacksonville isn’t great on defense, the Ravens still aren’t an overpowering offense that will rack up a lot of points. Look for this game to be somewhat of a grind in the low 20s.
