DENVER, CO (The Spread) – The third week of the NFL season concludes on Monday night when the Denver Broncos host the Oakland Raiders at 8:30PM ET on ESPN.

Denver is 2-0 on the season, 1-0 at home and 2-0 against the spread. Oakland is 1-1 overall, 0-1 on the road and 2-0 against the spread. Denver has won three straight against Oakland.

Trends show that the road team is 8-2 against the spread in the last 10 of this series and the Raiders are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 trips to Denver. The two have hit the over in 5 of their last 7 encounters.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the Broncos are the favorite at home, as they have odds of -14.5 points against the Raiders. The over/under total for the game has been set at 48.5 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had the Broncos favored by 16.5 points. The spread was never greater than that, and is at its low with Denver favored by 14.5. The over/under total opened at 48.5 points and climbed up to 49 before falling back to its opening mark.

The Broncos are off an impressive 2-0 start. Denver is posting 45 points and 462 yards per game on offense while the defense leads the NFL in rushing yards allowed, giving up just 40.5 yards per game. Peyton Manning has thrown for 769 yards and nine touchdowns with no interceptions thus far. Four different receivers have at least 10 receptions and 105 receiving yards for the Broncos.

After losing its season opener at Indianapolis, Oakland bounced back last week with a 19-9 win at home over Jacksonville. The Raiders have played well on defense, giving up just 15 points and 261 yards per game, and Oakland is currently second in the NFL in rushing yards, posting 198.5 yards per game. Darren McFadden leads the way with 177 yards and a touchdown while quarterback Terrelle Pryor has rushed for 162 yards while throwing for 343 yards and a score.

In terms of Injuries, guard Lucas Nix is questionable with an ankle injury while tight end David Ausberry is questionable with a shoulder issue. Denver cornerback Champ Bailey (foot) and linebacker Shaun Phillips (back) are both questionable.
