PHILADELPHIA, PA (The Spread) – Two NFC East rivals face off this Sunday in the NFL as the Philadelphia Eagles host the New York Giants at 1PM ET on FOX.

The Giants and Eagles are both 1-1 on the season and 1-1 against the point spread odds. The Eagles have hit the over in both their games while the Giants have hit the over in one game and pushed in the other. The Eagles have won the six games in this series.

Trends show that the Giants are 0-6 against the spread in the last 6 games against Philadelphia while the underdog has covered the spread in 11 of the last 13 games in this series.

The Eagles are coming off a 35-31 loss at Atlanta where they gave up 14 fourth-quarter points in the contest. Quarterback Michael Vick was knocked out of the game in the second half due to a concussion, but he is expected to play on Sunday against the Giants. Vick threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns before leaving the game. On defense, the Eagles gave up 138 rushing yards to the Falcons.

The Giants defeated the Rams on Monday Night Football last week by a score of 28-16. The Giants were actually out-gained 367-300, but forced two turnovers of St. Louis to make up for the lack of offense. On defense, St. Louis had 308 passing yards while the New York offense had 119 rushing yards. Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs combined for 109 yards and a touchdown.

In terms of Injuries, New York defensive end Osi Umenyiora is doubtful with a knee injury while receiver Mario Manningham is questionable because of a concussion. Philadelphia tight end Brent Celek is questionable with a back injury while defensive end Trent Cole is questionable because of a hand injury.
