Bills vs. Browns Week 3 Odds
CLEVELAND, OH (The Spread) – Still in search of their first win of the year, the Browns will host the 1-1 Bills at 1:00PM ET this Sunday.
BUFFALO: BUFFALO: The Bills were highly impressive in their 35-17 victory over the Chiefs last week in which they covered as a 3-point home favorite. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick only attempted 19 passes but completed 10 of those passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns. Buffalo didn’t need Fitzpatrick to put the ball in the air much because C.J. Spiller gained 123 yards on just 15 carries and added two scores. The win was a positive for Buffalo, which struggled mightily in a blowout loss to the Jets the week prior.
CLEVELAND: The Browns lost for the second consecutive week last Sunday, but at least rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden put together a better effort than in Week 1 (although how could it have been any worse?). After struggling mightily in the Browns’ 17-16 loss to the Eagles in Week 2, Weeden completed 26-of-37 passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns in Cleveland’s 34-27 loss to the Bengals in Week 2. More importantly he didn’t turn the ball over. Fellow rookie Trent Richardson also carried the ball 19 times for 109 yards and a score, while Mohammad Massaquoi led the team with five catches for 90 yards. The Browns pushed as a 7-point underdog.
ODDS: According to odds makers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bills are currently 3-point favorites over the Browns, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 43.5 points. And of the wagers currently placed on this game, 70% of the betting public currently favors the Bills.
TRENDS: The Bills are 3-9 against the spread in their last 11 games overall, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games versus the AFC and 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight road games. The Browns are 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four games versus the AFC, 2-0-2 ATS in their last four games in September and 5-0-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
