New England is 2-0 on the season, 1-0 at home and 0-2 against the spread. Tampa Bay is 0-2 overall, 0-1 on the road and 1-1 against the spread. New England has won two straight over Tampa Bay.

The spread dropped to 8 points during the week before moving back to its opening mark. The over/under total opened at 45 points and dropped to a low of 43.5 before moving back up to 44.5.

New England is off to a 2-0 start thanks to a 13-10 win over the Jets last Thursday night. The Patriots have been impressive on defense, holding opponents to just 15.5 points and 302 yards per game. Jerod Mayo has been leading the defense. He has a total of 21 tackles through two games. The issue with New England has been with the offense, which is only producing 18 points and 331 yards per game. Quarterback Tom Brady is just 48 of 91 passing for 473 yards and three touchdowns.

The Bucs are 0-2 on the season after losing both games by a combined 3 points. The Tampa Bay defense, which was hyped to be improved this year, has been. Tampa Bay has been holding opponents to just 17 points and 337.5 yards per game. The problem for Tampa has been its offense, which is mustering just 15.5 points and 251.5 yards per game. Doug Martin has been leading the offense with 209 rushing yards, but quarterback Josh Freeman has thrown for just 335 yards and two touchdowns through two games.

In terms of Injuries, Tampa Bay cornerbacks Rashaan Melvin and Michael Adams are both questionable with leg injuries while New England tight end Rob Grownkowski and tight end Zach Sudfeld are both questionable with differing injuries.
