The Giants lost to Washington 28-14 in the season opener. The Giants were held scoreless in the final half of play and had just 75 rushing yards in the game. Eli Manning threw for 268 yards, but was just 18-of-32 passing with no touchdowns and one interception. Defensively, the Giants defense allowed Rex Grossman to throw for over 300 yards.
The Rams lost 31-13 at home to the Philadelphia Eagles. St. Louis dealt with a few injuries in the game as running back Steven Jackson went down with a quad injury after just two carries and quarterback Sam Bradford suffered nerve damage to his throwing hand after making contact with a helmet during a throw. Jackson is not expected to play this week while Bradford is expected to be ready for the game. Defensively, the Rams allowed over 400 yards of offense to the Eagles, including 236 rushing yards.
In terms of Injuries, St. Louis receivers Danny Amendola and Mark Clayton are bout out for the game with respective injuries while New York defensive end Osi Umenyiora is out with a knee injury and receiver Hakeem Nicks is listed as probable to play despite a knee injury.
