Vikings vs. Packers Week 2 Prediction
A key early season matchup in the NFC North will take place on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET in Green Bay where the Packers will host the Vikings. Listed as a small underdog, will Minnesota pull off the upset today at Lambeau Field or will the Packers improve to 2-0?

Public Betting Trends
According to our NFL Football Public Betting Chart page, the Vikings are receiving 53% of the betting tickets from online sportsbooks.
Minnesota Vikings Fantasy Spin
Stefon Diggs (hamstring) is absent from the Week 2 injury report. Diggs has a history of posting underwhelming statlines when he’s on the injury report, but last week’s 2/37 was about the Vikings attempting only 10 passes, not Diggs’ health. We know the Vikings want to #EstablishIt, but 10 attempts is an anomaly. Diggs maintains WR2 appeal for what could be a knock down, drag out game with the Packers.
Green Bay Packers Fantasy Spin
Packers LT David Bakhtiari (back) is questionable for the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Vikings. Bakhtiari started the week off with a limited practice, but was downgraded to a DNP on Thursday and is now questionable. He’s served as the Packers’ LT in 91 of a potential 97 games since being drafted in 2013. Bakhtiari’s absence would be particularly worrisome this week against the Vikings’ fearsome front seven.
NFL Betting Trends
Minnesota
The Vikings are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games when facing an opponent that owns a winning record.
Green Bay
The Packers have covered the spread in 11 of their last 16 games played in the month of September but are just 4-11-1 ATS in their last 16 conference games.
Prediction
The Vikings have not fared well in Green Bay, covering just three times in their last seven trips to Lambeau Field. That said, they’re 5-2 against the number in their last seven games versus the Packers overall and I like them to pull off the small upset this afternoon. Dalvin Cook took over their Week 1 matchup with the Falcons, who looked thoroughly overmatched in every facet of the game last Sunday in Minnesota. The Vikings’ defensive line created all kinds of problems for Atlanta’s offensive line and the Packers failed to protect Aaron Rodgers last Thursday night in Chicago. I believe the Vikings can use that same formula this weekend as they did last Sunday: Hammer Cook and get after Rodgers, limiting what the Packers do offensively.
NFL Week 2 Prediction: Minnesota Vikings +2.5
